About Course

This course aims to help reduce people’s anxiety in public presentations and help them become confident and effective public speakers.

No matter what stage of life you are in and no matter your occupation, at some point you will be asked to speak formally in public. You will have to make a presentation. And this scares most people; indeed the fear of public speaking is about the worst fear in the world – more than the fear of death!

Speaking clearly and comfortably in public is a valuable and often essential skill to possess. This course aims to provide you with a basic background in the theories and principles of public speaking, as well as practical experience with the basic types of speeches. You will learn the four primary types of public speaking and how to master them:

  • Ceremonial Speaking
  • Demonstrative Speaking
  • Informative Speaking
  • Persuasive Speaking

And you’ll practice with expert public speakers. Participants will learn how to research, outline, and deliver short, informal presentations as well as longer speeches.

If you need to engage in presenting formal or informal speeches for different occasions, this course is for you!

Theory and practical sessions … participants will end up simulating public speaking in the four primary areas.
