Basic Production (Long Course)

Production involves the creation and recording of content for broadcasts on radio, TV, online, and/or as podcasts. These production courses are designed both for the beginner and practicing program or content producer.

The courses are designed to provide participants with insight into the skills, tools, practices, and language of program or content production for various platforms.

While the emphasis is on the production of radio programs, the courses will also deal with other platforms such as TV and online.

Participants will have hands-on experience with the theory, techniques, and practices of program production, audio recording, editing, mixing, and oral storytelling techniques.

It will include basic knowledge and understanding of radio business and production, branding a station or person/institution through programming, best production formats, development programming, environment programming, political programming, etc.

Format: 

Production courses are about 6 short and long courses.

Theory and practical sessions … Direct experience is gained through internships with WABMA® partner radio/TV stations.

1. Basic – 4 Weeks (including 1 week of internship)
