WABMA Trains RMRDC Staff in Digital Media Mastery for Strategic Communication

The West Africa Broadcast and Media Academy (WABMA) has successfully trained staff of the Directorate of Corporate Affairs, Raw Materials Research and Development Council (RMRDC) in a 5-Day Digital Media Mastery for Strategic Communication programme, held from 18th – 22nd August 2025 in Abuja.

The intensive training equipped participants with practical skills in graphics design, video and audio editing, and YouTube content creation using both mobile and laptop-friendly tools such as CapCut, Filmora, and Adobe Premiere Pro.

Over the course of five days, participants engaged in hands-on sessions, group projects, and practical exercises designed to strengthen their ability to create professional multimedia content that supports strategic corporate communication and public engagement.

Highlights of the training included:

  • Foundation sessions on graphics design and infographics for effective visual communication.
  • Video and audio editing techniques for corporate storytelling.
  • Step-by-step guidance on leveraging YouTube as a strategic communication platform.
  • Integrated project work that brought all skills together into a final multimedia presentation.

The programme concluded with a certificate presentation ceremony, where the Chairman of RMRDC commended the initiative, while the Head of Corporate Affairs gave a vote of thanks. The Executive Director of WABMA also congratulated participants and encouraged them to apply their new skills to advance the council’s communication goals.

This collaboration between WABMA and RMRDC reflects a shared commitment to capacity building, innovation, and effective communication in Nigeria’s public sector.
